Our Team
I am 53 years old and I live in my empty nest with my husband, Joe. I grew up in NJ, just outside of Philadelphia with my parents, grandmother and 2 older brothers. After graduating from Ithaca College, I spent a year in Italy then moved to Maryland for a job (many jobs ago) in 1991. I married Joe 25 years ago and we remained in his home state of Maryland. Together, we raised our twin daughters and although we miss the hustle and bustle associated with raising a family, we have adjusted well to our new lives. I have enjoyed 20 plus years in the mortgage industry and now I am excited to switch gears by focusing on this new adventure. I love to travel, have a nice glass of wine with my girlfriends and fill my house with family and food. I work out on again, off again - I just can’t seem to stick to a program 12 months a year but one day! I am one of those people who will try almost anything at least once, from snow boarding to a recent stint in stand-up comedy, neither of which were overly successful. All of my life experiences have guided me to the creation of Hello50 and I'm so excited to get started.
Marijo Kober
I was born in the City by the bay, San Francisco, and grew up in Petaluma, CA. I am the oldest of four girls. I moved to Frederick, Maryland when I was nineteen and attended Frederick Community College to study business. In 1985, I started my career in Mortgage Servicing with Standard Federal Savings and Loan Association. I am married and have two children and two grandchildren. I love to spend time with family and friends, enjoying a meal out, kayaking, gardening, biking, walking and shopping. I am now 54 and continue to work in the mortgage servicing field. I’m a hard worker, always planning for the future and coming up with new ideas to make it all work. I have spent most of my life working two jobs to pay for the extras; Christmas, college, vacations, paying off bills and any other unexpected expenses that might come up. It’s now time for a new chapter in my life and that is why Hello50 was created.
